Royal Caribbean expands Alaska Cruises with new experiences

 

Royal Caribbean is offering a range of Alaska cruise experiences for the upcoming season, combining scenic coastal voyages with inland adventures and immersive destination experiences. Operating between April and September, the itineraries feature seven-night cruises and extended Cruisetours ranging from two to six nights, including opportunities to explore Denali National Park and other iconic Alaskan destinations.

Anthem of the Seas will operate seven-night sailings from Seattle between May and September, alongside extended Cruisetours. Guests can witness the spectacular Hubbard Glacier, explore Ketchikan through activities such as fishing, kayaking, hiking and zip lining, and enjoy panoramic views from the North Star observation capsule. Onboard attractions include SeaPlex, an indoor activity space, along with dining options such as Jamie’s Italian and Johnny Rockets.

Ovation of the Seas will also sail from Seattle on seven-night Alaska itineraries from May to September. The voyages include visits to Sitka, Skagway and Juneau, as well as scenic cruising through Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier. Onboard experiences include the RipCord by iFly skydiving simulator, the Sound Cellar entertainment venue and Pesky Parrot tiki bar. Dining options range from Italian cuisine at Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen to premium steaks at Chops Grille and Japanese-style hibachi at Izumi Teppanyaki.

Serenade of the Seas will offer seven-night cruises from Vancouver between May and September, showcasing Alaska’s mountains, temperate rainforests and wildlife-rich coastline. Shore excursions include zip lining at Icy Strait Point, hiking in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, and exploring Juneau’s historic district. Onboard, guests can enjoy the rock-climbing wall, poolside movie nights and live music at the Schooner Bar. The ship’s extensive glass exteriors also provide sweeping views of the surrounding landscapes.

Voyager of the Seas will operate seven-night cruises from Seattle between April and September, visiting Sitka, Juneau and Skagway in Alaska, along with Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. Guests can explore historic sites, admire coastal scenery and look out for wildlife such as grizzly bears, harbour seals and bald eagles. Onboard activities include ice skating, laser tag, mini golf and arcade games, while adults can relax in the climate-controlled Solarium pool area.

Royal Caribbean Group has also partnered with the Alaska Railroad to introduce a new terminal in Seward, designed to streamline arrivals and embarkation while offering mountain views and convenient access to the neighbouring railway station. The facility is intended to support local community activities, including sports programmes, youth initiatives and group gatherings. It also advances the company’s SEA the Future initiative, including support for local entrepreneurs through its Port Partners small business accelerator programme.
