Asia-GCC travel corridor sees 161% growth in overnight guests since 2019

Travel leaders at Arabian Travel Market 2026 examined the long-term growth potential of the Asia-GCC travel corridor, as overnight guests travelling from Asia to GCC countries reached 164.8 million in 2025. The corridor has recorded 161 per cent growth compared with 2019, with rising middle-class travel demand from China, India, South Korea, Malaysia and Australia creating opportunities for Gulf destinations.
