Ras Al Khaimah is set to host the second half of the AM Green Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) season at the renowned Al Hamra Golf Club. This will be the first event of the second half, following a series of events held earlier in 2026, when the AM Green IGPL travelled to Mauritius, South Africa and Morocco after the season-opener in Chandigarh.
Ras Al Khaimah which boasts an impressive community of players and golf enthusiasts, will now play host to the AM Green IGPL IGPL presented by Vimtra Chennai Lions GC. For Vimtra, the Al Hamra Golf Club in Ras Al Khaimah, one of the most popular courses in the UAE, will be the ‘home territory’ for the week.
Vimtra recently unveiled its logo and presented its players to golf enthusiasts and followers at a star-studded function in Chennai. The team boasts of a very strong line-up in the IGPL League. The players are led by 11-time Asian Tour winner, Gaganjeet Bhullar, also a former Asian Games medallist. His teammates are Samarth Dwivedi, Yashas Chandra and Harshjeet Sethie. Bhullar is also a four-time winner on the IGPL and has won three times in 2025 and once in 2026.
Historically, Al Hamra Golf Club in Ras Al Khaimah has hosted numerous high-profile international events such as the DP World’s Ras Al Khaimah Championships between 2022 and 2025. The course has also hosted the European Challenge Tour events three times between 2016 and 2018.
