The Government of India has announced a complimentary 30-day e-Tourist visa with double-entry access for Thai nationals, easing travel requirements for visitors from Thailand.
Under the new arrangement, eligible Thai travellers will be issued the 30-day e-Tourist visa without any visa fee, providing greater convenience for tourism-related travel to India.
The facility will remain in effect until December 31, 2027, unless the government issues further orders modifying or withdrawing the arrangement.
Thai nationals can apply for the e-Tourist visa through India’s official online visa portal. The notification specifies that no fee will be charged for applications covered under the new arrangement.
The double-entry facility allows eligible travellers to enter India twice during the visa’s 30-day validity period, offering additional flexibility for those planning multi-destination or repeat travel.
The move is expected to support tourism between India and Thailand by reducing travel costs and simplifying the visa process, while strengthening people-to-people and tourism ties between the two countries.
