Saudi Arabia has introduced a new one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa, making it easier for eligible Muslims to perform Umrah more than once without submitting a fresh visa application for every journey. The initiative is part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy to improve the pilgrimage experience and simplify travel procedures for visitors from around the world.

Under the new policy, the visa remains valid for 365 days from the date of issue and permits multiple entries into Saudi Arabia. Pilgrims can stay for a maximum cumulative period of 90 days during the visa’s validity. This provides much greater flexibility than the traditional single-entry Umrah visa, particularly for those who wish to make repeated visits throughout the year.

Who Can Apply?

According to travel agencies and official guidance, most nationalities residing in the UAE are eligible to apply through authorized Umrah travel agencies. The visa is intended for Muslims who meet Saudi Arabia’s eligibility requirements and complete the required booking process. Processing generally takes around two working days, provided all required documents are submitted correctly.

Required Documents

Applicants are generally required to provide:

  • A passport valid for at least six months
  • Passport-size photographs (if requested)
  • A completed visa application
  • An approved Umrah service package booked through the Nusuk platform
  • Any additional supporting documents requested by the authorized travel agency

Requirements may vary slightly depending on nationality and country of residence, so applicants should confirm the latest checklist before applying.

Visa Cost

The total cost depends on the package selected and the travel agency handling the application. UAE travel agencies report that prices generally start from around AED 600, with premium packages costing more depending on hotel category, transportation, insurance, and additional services. Since the visa is linked to an approved Umrah package, the final amount varies according to the services included.

How to Apply

The application process begins by selecting an approved Umrah package through the official Nusuk platform. Packages are available in standard, premium, and luxury categories and often include visa processing, mandatory insurance, accommodation, local transportation, and other pilgrimage services. Once the package is booked, the authorized travel agency submits the visa application on behalf of the pilgrim.

It is important to note that each Umrah visit still requires a valid Umrah permit issued through the Nusuk app, even though the visa itself remains valid for one year. The visa also becomes inactive during the annual Hajj season and cannot be used for Hajj travel.

Benefits for Pilgrims

The new visa provides greater convenience for frequent pilgrims, families, and overseas Muslims who prefer to visit Saudi Arabia multiple times each year. Instead of applying for a new visa before every trip, eligible travelers can focus on arranging their pilgrimage plans while complying with the required permits and package requirements.

The initiative is also expected to support Saudi Arabia’s goal of welcoming more religious visitors and improving the overall pilgrim experience. Digital platforms such as Nusuk simplify bookings, permit issuance, and travel management, reducing paperwork and making the application process more efficient.

Important Things to Remember

Before making travel arrangements, pilgrims should verify the latest visa rules with an authorized Umrah travel agency. They should also ensure their passport is valid, purchase an approved Nusuk package, obtain the required Umrah permit before each visit, and review travel insurance coverage.

With its one-year validity and multiple-entry feature, Saudi Arabia’s latest Umrah visa represents a significant step toward making religious travel more flexible, convenient, and accessible for Muslims around the world.
