Dubai-based airlines Emirates and flydubai are gradually bringing back stability to their air operations, with 190 to 200 flights planned to depart from Dubai on a daily basis. This is a welcome move after weeks of significant disruptions in air travel following airspace restrictions in the region.

The latest update shows that Emirates had planned 141 flights for departure on March 19, which rose to 149 flights on March 20, while flydubai had planned nearly 49 flights, taking the combined number of flights to 200.

The aviation industry in the Middle East has faced a tough challenge in recent weeks, owing to geopolitical tensions and temporary closure of airspace. Many airlines operating in the region have been forced to cancel, delay, or divert thousands of flights.

However, the aviation industry in the Middle East seems to be slowly improving, with the easing of airspace restrictions, which has forced airlines to adjust flight schedules accordingly.

Despite the improvement, flight schedules in the region are still limited, with a possibility of being subject to change.

Although Emirates and flydubai are yet to resume their full operations, their current flight schedules depict a sense of stability in their operations. Both Emirates and flydubai are operating a limited number of flights to ensure a smooth flow of operations, thus avoiding any further disruptions in their operations.

Emirates is currently operating a limited schedule of flights from Dubai, primarily to major international destinations, catering to passengers who were affected by the cancellation of their previous flights. Likewise, flydubai is also operating a limited schedule of flights, which is a part of their current flight plan.

Passengers are strongly advised to check their flights regularly before making their way to the airport, as last-minute changes may still occur. It has been reiterated by the airlines that only those should travel to the airport whose flights have been confirmed.

Airlines have introduced various measures to help the affected passengers. Emirates, for example, is offering a free change of booking or rescheduling of flights without any penalty within a certain period.

What Travelers Should Expect

Despite the improvement in the situation, travelers should remain vigilant and keep themselves updated with the latest developments. Flight operations may still be subject to change depending on the circumstances.

Travelers are advised to:

  • Check airline websites or apps
  • Verify their bookings before traveling
  • Plan extra time at the airport
  • Keep themselves updated on the travel advisories

This would facilitate a better travel experience in the current scenario.
